Our Team

The founder of The Design Practice back in 1994 Emma’s vast experience means that there’s not a lot she doesn’t know about the design process. Although most of her time is spent running the company Emma still likes to get ‘hands on’ creatively whenever she can. When not at work Emma loves fine food and wine and must have her own parking space at Champneys by now.

Hugely passionate about design and its potential John oversees all work from the studio and is always striving for quality in the work we produce. Outside of The Design Practice, John is an internationally published author with two books on football kit design history to his name and has gained a reputation as an expert on the subject.

Johanna has a calm and methodical approach to her work which is invaluable in the sometimes hectic studio. As well as bringing fresh thinking on design problems she specialises in managing larger, more complex projects. Johanna is actively involved in many community schemes and events in her local area.

Although still in his early 20s Greg brings a fantastic knowledge of web design and construction to the Design Practice. Always up to date with the latest in search engine optimisation rules Greg is constantly looking for ways to improve the functionality and construction of websites. At 6ft 2 Greg is a keen basketball player and plays for local team Whitstable.

Maureen looks after the general running and administration ensuring everything goes smoothly. She answers the phones, deals with requests, receives clients and generally keeps us all in check.

Last but not least Louise completes the team - she takes care of the company accounts and finances, making sure everyone gets paid (including us!)
