Our Team

The Design Practice is led by Emma Dove and John Devlin.

Emma is Creative Director and founded The Design Practice back in 1994. Emma's vast experience means that there's not a lot she doesn't know about the design process. Although most of her time is spent running the company Emma still likes to get 'hands on' creatively whenever she can. When not at work Emma loves fine food and wine and must have her own parking space at Champneys by now.

John is Design Director and joined The Design Practice in 2003. Hugely passionate about design and its potential John oversees all work from the studio and is always striving for excellence in the work we produce. Outside of The Design Practice, John is an internationally published author with two books on football kit design history to his name (available from Amazon now) and has gained a reputation as an anorak, I mean expert, on the subject.
